U MOBILE PUTS MUSIC CENTRESTAGE BY ADOPTING 3 LOCAL MUSIC ACTS & BY GIVING SPOTIFY PREMIUM SUBSCRIPTION WITH NEW POSTPAID PLAN
KUALA LUMPUR, 23 January 2018
KUALA LUMPUR, 23rd JANUARY 2018 – U Mobile kicks off 2018 by announcing an addition to its Unlimited Grooves campaign. Apart from supporting performances by international acts, the telco is also showing its appreciation of local music by adopting 3 home-grown acts, namely Kyoto Protocol, Masdo and Bil Musa.

The adoption will see U Mobile fund passion projects selected by the music acts in the course of the year. They vary from a new album production, to the making of a music video to a tour across Malaysia and possibly the world.

Today, the telco is happy to reveal that customers of the new Unlimited HERO P79 will enjoy 6 months of rebates on Spotify Premium in addition to unlimited data for music streaming via Music-Onz™ and unlimited data for video streaming via Video-Onz™. This is the best plan yet for one’s entertainment needs!

“U Mobile is driven by our customers’ passion and music is definitely a huge passion point, and by adding local acts into the Unlimited Grooves campaign means our customers will have access to not just their favourite international acts, but local acts too. On the services front, we are glad to also be able to offer 6 months of Spotify Premium subscription as part of Unlimited HERO P79, our new postpaid plan that comes with Unlimited data for Music-Onz™ and Video-Onz™” says Jasmine Lee, Chief Marketing Officer of U Mobile.

For those who love social media, U Mobile has also launched postpaid HERO P68 today that offers customers unlimited data for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, WhatsApp, WeChat and Facebook Messenger.

Both postpaid plans, Unlimited HERO P79 and HERO P68 are available from today at all U Mobile stores nationwide.

Apart from the new postpaid plans, U Mobile also recently launched two new prepaid plans, the UMI 36 and UMI 26 where customers will get to enjoy free 30-day JOOX VIP subscription.

This year, the telco is also looking to add more to its Unlimited Grooves Campaign including an instalment plan service made available to their customers for concert tickets. Details to the initiative will be revealed later this year.
